Once you complete your security training through MDSPOSA, you are eligible for sponsorship through our security company, USTASC for a security guard card.

 

• WE DO NOT SPONSOR SPECIAL POLICE.

• You must have completed MDSPOSA training to be eligible for security sponsorship.

In Maryland, after you complete training, you are required to process with a security company or a security employer in order to obtain your security guard card. We will process this application for you for a nominal fee.

State Fee: $15.00
Fingerprinting Fee: Varies depending on where you get fingerprinted (Estimate $65)

Processing Fee: $50.00

After you obtain your training, you will receive an informational packet about how to complete the sponsored application, but here are the steps:

​

1. Obtain your certificate from us, and you can sign up for a class here

2. Purchase your sponsorship package & sign the agreement/waiver

3. Get your LiveScan fingerprints taken at any LiveScan location (there are many in the state)

4. Log on to the state licensing portal, complete the application and upload your certificate and your LiveScan receipt. Once completed, the system will email you an application number and a pin number.

5. Complete the following form.
